Just an Old Red Barn
Built in 1903, The Barn has sheltered generations of animals—from horses to hogs and cattle—and carries a deep-rooted history in Bigfork. Long recognized as a landmark for those traveling north, it has stood strong for over a century as a lasting piece of the area’s heritage.
In the fall of 2024, we began an extensive remodel to ensure its longevity, guided by a deep respect for its original character. Wherever possible, materials were preserved and restored—reclaimed wood was repurposed into custom tables, doors, and design elements throughout the space. Original light fixtures were carefully refurbished, and the existing stalls were restored and maintained to honor the barn’s original layout and floorplan. Once home to animals, these spaces have been thoughtfully reimagined as inviting bars and intimate tête-à-tête corners for gathering and celebration. Even the historic hay trolley has been brought back to life, now suspended above as a unique feature for hanging chandeliers.
Today, The Barn is the heart of THE FARM Montana—a place where history is honored, stories are shared, and unforgettable celebrations come to life. A true piece of the past, reimagined as a one-of-a-kind setting to gather, celebrate, and create lasting memories.
